A total of eight (8) young boys and girls out of the sixteen who enrolled in the ten-Saturday program graduated. Two of them received a special award, namely, RJ Beam Gamboa as Most Improved Student, and Anjaelyn Nededog as Most Loyal student.

The EMG aims to teach Filipino values, culture, geography, language to Filipino and Filipino-American children on Guam and to develop their talents in singing and dancing at a young age.  The classes, which are held for ten (10) Saturdays, are conducted by volunteer teachers led by EMG Principal, Mrs. Milagros K. Moguel, together with Dr. Clarissa Quan and her daughter Amanda Quan, Mr. Jun Moguel and Ms. Siony Viray.

During the commencement program, the students demonstrated the knowledge they acquired by performing a Philippine folk song, “Bahay Kubo”, and a folk dance, “Lubi-Lubi”. They also showed their ability to speak the Filipino language they just learned by telling bits and pieces about the Philippines and themselves and by reciting a short poem of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, “Sa Aking Mga Kababata”.
